Our immune system is what protects us when we get ill and it also helps us fight organisms that cause diseases. Our lifestyle and nutrition can help strengthen our natural defenses and help our body to stay strong. Here are some tips to help you to boost your immune system.

1. GET SOME SLEEP
  • Lack of sleep makes us more prone to getting sick.
  • Adults need around 7 hours of quality sleep.
  • The blue light coming from screens disturb our sleep cycle.

  • 80% of our immune system is in… THE GUT.
  • Eating healthy is literally vital.
  • Make sure to eat fruits, vegetables, grains and healthy fats.
  • Include fermented foods such as yogurt.

3. STAY ACTIVE
  • Exercise makes our defenses move faster and detect disease-causing organisms quickly.
  • If intense exercise is not your thing, choose a moderate activity like: walking, biking, dancing or doing laundry!
4. MANAGE YOUR STRESS

  • These activities may help: meditate, do exercise that you enjoy, write or learn something new.

IMPORTANT:

So far there are NO scientifically proven supplements, foods or remedies that can prevent us from contracting COVID-19.
The only action that can prevent us from getting it is social distancing and let’s not forget the hygiene measures and recommendations by the World Health Organization (WHO).
